 Housing is the casing in which the components of the camera are
housed.
A good housing not only protects the camera against dust, moisture and snow but also
ensures that service continues with no interruption. Housings therefore could incorporate
a variety of accessories, including thermostat / remote controlled heaters, lens-cover
wipers, hoods etc.
Powder coated, metallic housings are the most often used.
