Such locks can be simple chain locks or these can be
metallic hook locks. Such locks normally immobilize the front or rear wheel so that thief
cannot take the two wheeler. It is advisable to tie two wheelers to an electricity pole,
or a water pipe or a drain pipe so that the two wheeler cannot be physically lifted away
(alongwith the lock).
Specially in case of scooters, it is advisable to get one metallic notch welded on the
stand and another on the body of the scooter. A normal lock can then be inserted through
the two holes in the notches. This ensures that the scooter/bike is immobilized as it
can't be taken off the stand. |
